About me

My name is Jeroen Burggraaf and I live in Putten, in the Netherlands. I am married and have two young kids.

I work as a software developer for the financial industry. This includes a lot of integration work using webservices, JMS and ESB's (Cordys, Webmethods). Furthermore, I also write web applications based on JSF, Wicket and Spring MVC.

Next to the technical stuff, I act as a scrum master in several projects and also coach Java developers within my organisation.

Besides developing software I like to sport: cycling, running and speedskating. Especially cycling is my favorite. If possible, I like to go out cycling in the forest with other cycling enthousiasts.

In my experience software development is very often about finding solutions to problems that I haven't solved before. Problems that, however, have been solved by other people. Therefore I do a lot of research on internet to find a good solution. Fortunately, a lot of people spend time to write down their solutions in blogs, articles, books etc. One of the main reasons for starting my blog is to share my own solutions with other people and, in this way, help them find the solutions to their technical challenges.
